DIIT — A New 3D Printing and Robotics Studio in the Department of Informatics and Information Technology

Exciting News! IT Innovation Lab at Solomon Mahlangu Campus (SMC) has been transformed and equipped with state-of-the-art 3D Printing and Robotics Technology.

Today, May 31, 2023, the IT Innovation lab at Solomon Mahlangu Campus underwent a remarkable transformation. Thanks to the generous donation from the Turkish people under the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), the Department of Informatics and Information Technology (DIIT) has successfully installed state-of-the-art 3D printing and robotics devices. The installation marks a new era of technological advancement for our department.

Cezeri Studio

The set up of the studio was carried by Murat Yurtari from Cezeri and a representative of TIKA, Turkey, Prof. Wulystan Mtega, the HoD, Dr. Neema Sumari, the innovation coordinator, and our enthusiastic IT students. The studio is called “Cezeri Studio“.

This exciting addition to our department and campus equips us with advanced 3D printers, computers, and other essential tools. We hope that the Cezeri Studio will ignite creativity and innovation among our students, staff, and researchers at the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA).
