SUA Hosts Crucial Curriculum Stakeholders Meeting in the ICT and Library Sciences Cluster

The gathering drew a diverse range of stakeholders, including representatives from President’s Office Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG, commonly known as TAMISEMI), President’s Office Public Service Management and Good Governance (UTUMISHI), Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS, commonly known as Sektretarieti ya Ajira Tanzania), Tanzania Library Services Board (TLSB), the Morogoro Regional Administrative Secretary’s office, retired academic professors, staff members from the Department of Informatics and Information Technology (DIIT), and selected alumni and current students from the department.

The key focus of this significant gathering was the discussion of seven forthcoming programs within the ICT and Library Sciences Cluster. These included two diploma courses—Diploma in IT and Diploma in Records and Information Science; four bachelor’s degrees—BSc. IT (reviewed), BSc. Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics (BSC. CDF, newly introduced), Bachelor of Publishing and Media Studies (newly introduced), and Bachelor of Information and Records Management (reviewed); and a Master’s program—MSc. Applied IT (newly introduced).
