Anthony is a Lecturer at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) Tanzania. He holds a PhD in Life Sciences and Bioengineering. His research interest has spanned numerous topics in sustainable agriculture, but a common theme has been post-harvest technology, sustainable food and nutrition security, rural development and innovations systems for pro-poor.
Anthony has managed and co-managed several research projects to promote sustainable agriculture. The projects are such as adoption of food quality and safety in horticultural sector in Tanzania “funded by the Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH); Evaluation of the Up-scaling of interactive information and communication technologies to increase uptake of agricultural innovations in Tanzania funded by IFAD via Farm Africa international. He is a Co-PI of the ongoing USAID funded collaborative project under the partnerships for Enhanced Engagement in Research (PEER) program.
