Dr. Alex Nahnson Nehemia is a Ph.D. holder (Doctor of Sciences) working in the Department of Biosciences of the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). His specialization is in ecology and molecular population genetics. He pursued his Ph.D. education at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium in the year 2017. He obtained his Bachelor of Science with Education (Chemistry and Biology) and Master of Science in Marine Science from the University of Dar es Salaam in the years 2008 and 2011, respectively. Nehemia was employed in the Department of Biosciences as a Tutorial Assistant in 2008 and was promoted to the position of Assistant Lecturer in 2010 and Lecturer in 2013. Currently, Nehemia works as a Senior Lecturer in the field of Ecology, Zoology, and Evolutionary Biology and he is supervising postgraduate and undergraduate research projects. His research interest lies in conservation studies, molecular population genetics, and the use of stable isotopes in ecological studies.
