Anthony Daniel Funga

Dr. Anthony Daniel Funga is a Lecturer of biochemistry at the Sokoine University of Agriculture Tanzania in the Department of Biosciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Life Sciences and Bioengineering. His research interest has spanned numerous topics in sustainable agriculture, but a common theme has been post-harvest technology, sustainable food, and nutrition security, rural development, and innovation systems for the pro-poor. Funga has managed and co-managed several research projects to promote sustainable agriculture. The projects are such as the adoption of food quality and safety in the horticultural sector in Tanzania “funded by the Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH); Evaluation of the Up-scaling of interactive information and communication technologies to increase uptake of agricultural innovations in Tanzania funded by IFAD via Farm Africa international.
