Mr. James Mwesongo Mnhonya is a Senior Laboratory Scientist at the Department of Biosciences, College of Natural and Applied Sciences, Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania. Mnhonya obtained his Master of Science in Natural Products, Technology, and Value addition in 2017 and his Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Laboratory Science at the Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania in 2011. He received his Certificate in Veterinary Laboratory Technology at LITI Temeke in 1993. His tasks are to prepare reagents, set specimens, and samples for demonstrations in microbiology practical sessions, technical assistance to academicians, researchers, and postgraduate students. His interest is bioprospecting. He can plan and design experiments in microbiology and parasitology using various techniques such as bioassay, PCR, ELISA, binding assays, and many other serological techniques as well as mushroom culture.
