Mr. Tlehema Gwandu Umbayda is a Tutorial Assistant in Biochemistry at the Department of Biosciences, College of Natural and Applied Sciences, Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania. Umbayda graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science with Education (Chemistry and Biology). His research interest is in food chemistry particularly in fruit and vegetable preservation against post-harvest losses. Other interesting fields of research interest include food quality security and green chemistry in the food supply chain. As a Tutorial assistant, his duties include under-study senior members of academic staff by attending their lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practicals; carrying out and assisting senior staff in lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practicals for undergraduate programmes; assisting in research, consultancy, public service and advising undergraduate students.
