It is with great pleasure we inform you that Ms. Theofrida Julius Maginga, from the Department of Informatics and Information Technology, CoNAS, SUA, has successfully defended her doctoral thesis on Sept 30, 2024. Ms. Maginga did her research at the University of Rwanda (African Center of Excellence in Internet of Things) in Rwanda. The title of her PhD thesis is “Convergence of IoT, AI and Natural Language Processing to Support Low-Literacy Rural Farmers in Early Detection of Crop Diseases: Case study of Maize in Tanzania”
