Baraka Nyamtiga is a Lecturer in the Department of Informatics and Information Technology at the Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tanzania. He has a doctorate degree in Wireless Communications and Networking from the Seoul National University of Science and Technology in South Korea. He is a Masters graduate in Information and Communication Science and Engineering from The Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology, Arusha and he holds a bachelor of Science in Computer Science of the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
For nearly 10 years Dr. Nyamtiga has been administering university courses in areas of Database Systems, Software Programming, Information Security and Computer Applications.
His main research interests lie in Wireless Communications, Virtual Reality, Machine Learning and Cloud Computing. His PhD thesis explores the use of Deep Reinforcement Learning in efficient utilization of mobile devices resources with edge computing assistance.
