The Enhancing Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Sustainability in Higher Education in Africa (EEISHEA) – https://eeishea.org project workshop was held on 11th – 12th April, 2022 at Computer Lab (Video Conference Room), Solomon Mahlangu Campus. The EEISHEA project is coordinated by Prof. Camilius Sanga and Prof. Anthony Sangeda and is designed to reform Higher Education (HE) through curricula that are highly relevant to the social and economic development needs of the society. The 2 days’ workshop aimed at introducing instructors and students to problem-based learning (PBL) & student -centred learning (SCL) and integrate sustainability aspects in teaching and learning. The facilitators of the workshop were Prof. Bente Nørgaard and Prof. Carla Kornelia Smink, from Aalborg University, Denmark. The attendees of this workshop included SUA academic staff, Quality Assurance Bureau (QAB) and SUA students. Among the outcomes/outputs of the project include a newly approved curriculum for Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Innovation (BSc. ITIN) developed by the Department of Informatics and Information technologies at SUA. The developed curriculum is designed to equip graduates with skills and competences for employability and self-employment through establishment of entrepreneurship mind-sets.
