The Department of Informatics and Information Technology, College of Natural and Applied Sciences at Sokoine University of Agriculture, was filled with delight as we rolled out a welcome mat for our latest batch of students. These eager students have set their sights on a variety of academic programs offered by our department, including the prestigious Master’s in Information and Knowledge Management (MIKM), the innovative Bachelor of Science in IT (BIT), the dynamic Bachelor of Information and Records Management (BIRM), the practical Diploma in Information Technology (DIT), and the foundational Certificate in Information Technology (CIT).
Our Acting Head of Department, Dr. Edvin Kitindi, delivered the inaugural words of wisdom and encouragement. Ms. Catherine Mangare, Dr Nicholas Mwalukasa, and Dr. Alcardo Barakabitze joined him in welcoming our new students.
We congratulate these new students on their acceptance to SUA, particularly in our thriving Department of Informatics and IT. We look forward to seeing their academic journey and the outstanding contributions they will undoubtedly make to our university community as they arrive on our campus.
