PhD Studies

The Department of Informatics and Information Technology offers doctoral studies in librarianship, information science, records management, and information technology.

When to Apply?

The University accepts PhD by Research and Thesis applications all year, and studies can begin at any time once admission is granted.

How to apply?

Candidates can apply for admission through the Online application system, which can be accessed via the University application portal. Make sure that you follow all the instructions before making the final submission. To complete and submit your application, you will be required to pay non-refundable Tanzanian Shillings TZS 50,000/= or US$20 for international students as an application fee. You can contact the Admissions Office before or during the application process via drpgs@sua.ac.tz.
