TRAMPA Team Visits the Department of Informatics and IT, SUA

The Department of Informatics and Information Technology (DIIT) at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) hosted a visit from the leadership team of the Tanzania Records and Archives Management Professionals Association (TRAMPA). The team, composed of seasoned records and archives experts, engaged in a fruitful session with students pursuing a Bachelor of Information and Records Management (BIRM).

During the session, the visitors offered meaningful insights on the importance of proper records management, emerging trends in the field, and various career opportunities available to graduates in Tanzania.

Ms. Devotha Mrope George, the chairperson of TRAMPA, highlighted the critical role of ethics, diligence, and adherence to professional standards in the field. She stressed that records are an essential asset for supporting all professions.

Students had a chance to pose questions and engage in one-on-one discussions with the professionals.
