Prof. Raphael Chibunda, the Vice Chancellor of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), paid a visit to booths showcasing projects conducted within our Department and the Department of Engineering. The booths featured the AI4MoreCrops and YEESI Lab projects, along with the EPAL Lab, a sister lab to YEESI run by Dr. Fue from the School of Engineering at SUA. The visit took place on July 18, 2023, during the 8th Higher Education, Science, and Technology Exhibitions, which were organized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
During the exhibition, the project teams had the opportunity to demonstrate their innovations and even showcased a PA Drone. The Vice Chancellor expressed his commitment to supporting the labs and projects whenever necessary, ensuring that they continue to develop solutions that are beneficial for farmers.
